Appointment Info:

 

1) Plan for three hours (could even be a bit more if we chat longer)

2) Bring all cigarettes with you (even old ones); if you don't have any left by the time you see me, that's fine too. Don't buy cigarettes just to bring them.

3) Dress comfortably

4) Date/Time: Set it in your calendar as your FREEDOM DAY!

 

Here are some points regarding smoking cessation hypnosis:

 

1.     WANTING to quit (it is important you want this for yourself)

2.     Why you smoked (understanding why is helpful because in reality smoking never meets the expectations smokers think it does- for example, many clients claim they smoke to calm nerves; this is a confused concept because smoking is a stimulant/poison that doesn't calm anything. Others cite "fitting in" as a reason, but as you know, smoking is no longer in fashion. So, understanding why you smoked and refuting those confused ideas with the wisdom you have now is a good way to prep our minds for the session.

 

3.     Nicotine addiction vs. a bad habit: Big Tobacco tells untruths (aka lies) about stopping smoking. Smoking is a habit that can be undone. People are not addicted to the substance, which means they can easily stop it. In fact, the body begins to repair itself from the poisonous damage every time a cigarette is put out. Our bodies wants to heal us!

 

4.     What you believe makes a big difference, and so does how to “think for success”: the words hope and try are words I like to keep out of hypnosis- they are really just sister words to failure. Believe for what you want, and that's it. Simply put, all who have stopped smoking through hypnosis wanted it and believed it would work for them. Just like me! Ultimately, believe for what you want.

 

5.     Why other methods don’t work: other methods are not designed to "cure" or rid people of the problem. A large majority of folks even smoke while on the patch. Tobacco companies make the cigarettes and the cessation medications. They have an interest in making money on both ends, and that does not include stopping smoking permanently. 

 

6.     Hypnosis

a.     How it works: the mind doesn't know the difference between what is actually happening to it and what it is imagining is happening- this is why the subconscious mind is so powerful and can make immediate changes.

b.     what it feels like: hypnosis really doesn't feel like anything. You will be relaxed but not asleep. You will not need to listen to me or intently focus on me because I won't be talking to you; I will be talking to the subconscious mind.

7.     What to expect during your session: The most important thing is to agree with the words you are hearing because the reality is you have requested these words be said to you. It is simply agreeing with what you want. If I say "you hate cigarettes," you agree, perhaps thinking in your mind- YES I DO! rather than someone thinking, "well, I don't really hate anything." If I say, "you are permanently free," you would think, "YES I AM!" During your session your mind will imagine many things and travel many places- it is an enlightening experience.

8.     What to expect after your session:

99% of clients become non-smokers in one session!

Here are just a few things to review! It's such an amazing experience for my clients, but it was also an amazing experience for me. It was, hands down, the easiest change I ever made in my life. The powerful feeling that comes with stopping smoking so easily is unlike anything else. I am very excited for you.
